The Undergraduate Study Program of the Department was accredited in November 2022 by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (EΘΑΑΕ). The accreditation report grants the Department the rating of “Excellent”, i.e., “full compliant” with the Principles of the HAHE Undergraduate Program Quality Standard and the Quality Assurance Guidelines of the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) for Level 6 of the National and European Qualifications Framework.

Briefly, the conclusions of the accreditation reports are:

• The Undergraduate Study Program (USP) is unique in its scope, both at the institutional and national levels. Its focus on music technology and acoustics distinguishes it from other programs in Greece that emphasize music and the arts, while this program is more oriented toward engineering and technology.
• The current curriculum is well-structured, comprehensive, and provides students with an excellent foundation.
• There is strong labor market demand for graduates of the program.
• The undergraduate curriculum adheres to all recommended practices regarding data collection, objective recruitment procedures, and internal and external evaluation processes, as outlined by Greek regulations governing higher education.
• The Committee wishes to congratulate the Department and the university-level committees involved for the excellent preparation of all relevant documentation, which was thorough, clear, and well-organized.
